Student Attendance
Regular school attendance is an important factor in student success. Please see the Madison County Schools Student Handbook for detailed policy.
How do I know if my child is late?
- Students are expected to be in their seat by the 7:30 a.m. tardy bell.
- If your child is not not inside before the bell rings and the door is closed, you must come inside to sign them in.
Student Absence Information
An excuse must be turned in for every full day that your child is absent from school upon return. You may write a note with the following information included or you may fill out the absence form below and it will be sent in automatically.
For admittance after an absence at MAUE, each student is required to submit an excuse. For an absence to be considered excused, a note should be submitted with the following:

Date written

Date(s) of the absence
-
Cause of absence
-
Parent/legal guardian's name and phone number.
Per our Madison County School District handbook, after 15 days of absences, a student's absence may only be excused with a medical excuse.
